Ute Mohme

Ute Mohme wurde 1951 in Betzdorf/Sieg geboren.
Neben ihrer Arbeit als Apothekerin hat sie sich seit 1989 erfolgreich auch als freischaffende Künstlerin etabliert. In ihrer künstlerische Ausbildung finden sich so unterschiedliche Techniken wie Chinesische Kalligraphie, Japanische Tuschmalerei, Fotocollage und -montage, Assemblage und Installationen.
Ute Mohme ist Mitglied im Kunstverein Siegen (Vorstand), Freundeskreis des Museums für Gegenwartskunst e.V., Siegen, und dem ART-Galerie, Kunstmarkt Siegen. Galeriemitarbeit auf der ART-Frankfurt, Köln, Basel und Chicago. Sie nimmt an nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen teil, siehe auch www.arttreff.de/mohme.htm und www.siwikultur.de . Eigene und fremde Funde, auch Texte werden in die Kunstwerke und Ausstellungen integriert.

Ute Mohme was born in 1951 at Betzdorf / Sieg.
In addition to her work as a pharmacist, she has established herself successfully as a freelance artist since 1989. In her artistic training she worked with very different techniques, such as Chinese calligraphy, Japanese watercolor painting, photo-montage and collage, assemblage and installations.
Ute Mohm is a member of the Kunstverein Siegen (board member), Friends of the Museum of Contemporary Art Society, Siegen, and the ART-Galery, art market Siegen. She did Gallery collaborations at the ART-Frankfurt, Cologne, Basel and Chicago. Ute Mohme participated in national and international exhibitions (you might have a look at www.arttreff.de / mohme.htm and www.siwikultur.de). She integrates text into her work as well as chance objects found by herself or other people.
